One of the best SEO blogging software platforms I know of is Wordpress. This may not be exactly what you were expecting to read, so let me explain myself.

I prefer Wordpress over everything else because of its flexibility and because of the fact it is free. Another huge reason is the support in the open source community. Wordpress is gaining steam as the preferred blogging software, and is also becoming a Content Management System (CMS). You also have an enormous amount of plugins and customizations for you to use. If you need something, it has probably already been done.

So, back to Wordpress as SEO blogging software.

Wordpress has a plugin I use called the "All In One SEO Pack". This is a must in order to get your blog optimized for the search engines. This one simple plugin will allow you to give custom titles, and more importantly add keywords to each blog post. Without this plugin, you will have no keywords. And for SEO, we all know you need keywords in order to rank high.

Another thing you can do is to add a small piece of code in the footer section of the wordpress theme you are using. The code would look something like the following:

<?php bloginfo('name'); ?> <br><b><?php if ( is_single() ) { ?> <?php } ?> <?php wp_title(); ?>

Basically, what this does is it takes the individual titles of each post and inserts them in the footer of that page. This is also a good SEO method. Search engines like to see the keywords at the end of the page. It sort of tells them the page is still about the same thing it started out as. This means the relevance of the page is still there.

Both of these SEO tips are possible because of the flexibility of Wordpress. This is why I even use Wordpress as my membership site. It allows me to have a forum, articles, video tutorials, and a download page.

It is simple to use, and I would recommend everyone at least look into using Wordpress before you start buying other softwares for your SEO efforts.
